The University of Sheffield has a long established relationship with Iraq and we have been welcoming students here for many decades. The University of Sheffield is a founder member of the British Universities in Iraq Consortium (BUIC). BUIC, working with the British Council, aims to facilitate constructive engagement between the British and Iraqi Higher Education sectors.
